We are seeking to uncover and nurture the next generation of Southeast Queensland's singing talent. This is an opportunity for budding singers aged 12 to 17 (that's right! 2024 brings a JUNIOR category too!) to showcase their VOICES and be in the running to win some incredible prizes and opportunities!

- Submit a video audition. This can be from your Smart Phone at home.
- Nominate FOUR contrasting song options for the competition. The Rise Up team will choose one for you to perform live.
- Once you have registered online, the Rise Up Team will Send you an Application Pack. Find the registration form at: https://performancestudios.com.au/rise-up-register/
- Applications close Friday April 11th (5:00pm).

- Upload your audition video to YouTube (no other formats accepted)
- Make sure the privacy is set to Unlisted.
- Click share, and copy the link into your Rise Up application form.
You can submit a Smart Phone recording from your home. It must be performed with music, such as a live instrument or backing track. This must be unedited.
This singing competition is open to all skill levels & vocal styles. We want to make sure you’re best represented on stage. The team are not expecting any sort of professional video production or performance for your audition, we just want to get to know you!

The registration fee is $60. This is to aid in covering costs of administration, sound/lighting engineer and judging fees. This also includes competition entry and a personally written critique from all rounds of the competition.

Let's Break it Down
Video Audition: The Rise Up team will review all video auditions and select singers for the live performances. Entry to the competition is not guaranteed on application.
Song Choice: Contestants are to provide 4 contrasting song choices. The Rise Up team will select 3 of these options for you to perform.
Live Performance: All successful singers will go straight to the stage, with a live performance in front of a panel of judges & audience.
Grand Final: Top placing Contestants from previous rounds will battle it out to see who will take home the Grand Prize.

Judging Criteria
Vocal Quality - Pitch Accuracy, Tone Quality, Vocal Control and Dynamics.
Performance Presence - Stage presence including, but not limited to, confidence, connection with the audience, body language, expressiveness, charisma, and staging.
Song Choice and Interpretation - Song Suitability for voice, age, originality and Creativity. Performance techniques including emotion, storytelling, and lyric artistry.
Overall Impression - Performer Appearance, expressiveness, individuality, versatility, adaptability, confidence, charisma, creativity, and sensitivity.
Commercial Appeal and Performance Value - Audience captivation, uniqueness, creativity... How likely are people to continue to follow this artist’s career?
